Runco’s OPAL™ Image Enhancement Technology (Optical Path ALignment)
• Acute Contrast Enhancement™ (ACE): Technology applied to panel that increases contrast without losing image clarity within dark scenes, especially in high ambient light.
Benefit: Enhances contrast more than 3x than other flat panels.
• Ambient-Light Rejection™ (ALR): Proprietary panel treatment applied within panel to reduce internal and surface reflections.
Benefit: Enhanced image focus and clarity within medium-to-high ambient light environments. Reduces ambient light reflection, which washed out contrast, color and overall picture quality, by more than 20x!
• ISS™ (Impact, Shock, Shake): Additional panel enhancement that provides added resistance to dust contamination, condensation and the occasional blow from a hand-held game control.
Benefit: It will survive the occasional blow from a game controller. Runco OPAL also makes the panel less sensitive to daily wear and tear. And, unlike other flat panels, the surface can be cleaned with typical household glass cleaner.
